Who is Behind Izzy?
Izzy Platform is a Calgary-based company dedicated to empowering nonprofits and charities through innovative software solutions. The Inspiration Behind Izzy’s Name
The name "Izzy" holds special significance for the founders. It was inspired by Toby Biggs's beloved dog, symbolizing the platform’s commitment to reliability and support. Just as Izzy the dog was a source of unwavering loyalty, the platform aims to be a dependable partner for nonprofits, helping them focus on what truly matters—delivering essential services to those in need.
Founders' Vision and Mission
Toby Biggs and Eric Jensen established Izzy Platform with a clear mission: to create software solutions that empower nonprofits and charities to connect with the people who need them most. Their journey began when Ripple Group, their sister company, developed custom software for the Alberta Association of Sexual Assault Services (AASAS) to launch a province-wide hotline. Recognizing the administrative burdens these organizations face, they sought to develop tools that simplify client communications, streamline workflows, and improve efficiency so that more resources can be dedicated to community impact. This project led to the creation of Izzy Helpline, which expanded into the broader Izzy Platform.
